I went to Vegas for 20 hours to get outta dodge. To reclaim myself, the new and old me. To flirt.
I picked a hotel resort where I could stay contained (efficient energy spend), where I'd been before (read: low cognitive overhead), and with nice rooms to enjoy so I could fly in, rest for a few hours, and then go out for the night.
And it was awesome. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but I'm going to write about it at some point and file it under "dating during treatment." :)
Daily (5x/week) radiation begins on Thursday. I'll have to wear body markets for 4 weeks so they radiate the specific area they need. I'm just eager to get it done!
After radiation on Thursday, coincidentally, I have my targeted therapy infusion, and I'm actually excited to see the nurses and catch up!
Tuesday is the cardiologist.
Today I had lymphatic drainage done to manage my right arm. (This will be a lifelong thing even though I exercise and am young. Argh.)
But, I have the glow from Vegas to send me into the rest of my treatment! Best decision ever. And an annual trip I'm going to take now. Because in Vegas, people still talk to one another and flirt. It's the place where everyone isn't looking down at their phone constantly, it seemed. I need a party in my life still sometimes, and this trip helped me realize I need to budget and carve out time for it. I have girlfriends who want to join me. Some offered to contribute to a specific let-loose fund, lol. Ladies, mark down March 2025!
Love this so much! :)
